Its a stock pully. The alternator is sticking out slightly farther than the crank

Maybe the alternator has the sand pulley spacer on it that can be removed?

I got everything bolted up. They are very close. It lookes like they are in the same position as they were on the old motor. I ran it last night and the belt looked ok and did not seem like it was going to come off.

Well....after what seemed like forever its back on all four. Finally got my jamar brake pads today and got that put back together. Gauges are almost wired up. Due to the unforseen motor purchase I had to get sunpro gauges :/ they will work for now. I have a TON of wiring to do when I take it apart this winter. 30 years of hacking has taken its toll on the harness. Might as well start over and do it to my standards. Hope the rain stays away tomorrow afternoon and maybe (right....) I can finish it up and actually drive it

Well it took a little while....ok a long while but I WON! This round goes to the dutchman. Ended up drilling and taping a fitting for the oil temp gauge to go into whatever weird fitting was in the block (AN? Straight thread? Who knows) its not perfect by any means but it works. Both guages are working and it runs. I am just trying to get her back on the road for the summer and I can fix all the weird stuff this winter. Is 50 psi of oil pressure ok at idle? Seems a bit much

It seems to have 50 psi all the time? I just drove it (woohooo!) Got the temp up to around 150 and still no change in pressure. Even when getting on it. It kinda ticks as well. Normal?

Update! Maden voiage (spelling:( ) took it from Holland to Hudsonville. Did good. Temp on the gauge never got above 190. Oil pressure still at 50 all the time. When it gets warm at idle dropps to 40 ish. There is some kind of vibration at mid rpm (no tach yet). Needs to be tuned, kinda pops and sputters at weird times. Brakes work excellent. Got a bit wet on the drive home but oh well. It was a good day

youtu.be/k4qHBxDIv_I. Here is a vid of it running. Does this sound "normal"?. Tested the oil pressure with a known good mechanical gauge and it showed the same 45-55 psi at all times up to 150 degrees.

Took it to Grand Haven yesterday. Still runs like poo, needs tuning. I have come to the conclusion that it needs a real muffler. The stinger is WAY to loud at 55-60 mph. The wife said I was a baby but it makes my brain hurt.
