Picked this up earlier this summer in hopes of "fixing what needs to be fixed" and driving it while collecting more parts. Well, that didn't work: rotted front beam NO BRAKES rotted exhaust ever nasty mice smell from sitting Attachments:

A buddy had a spare front beam (rebuilt a few years ago, never ran) that I picked up for free so I swapped that in. Broke a mounting bolt tho (still needs fixed BTW) Replaced master cylinder and bled brakes. Still no pedal.....thinking maybe brake adjustment? Front brakes, wheel cylinders and hardware are ALL brand new, albeit a few years old. Replaced the "idle" solinoid.......still no idle Figured since it had been sitting in a pole barn for awhile, and smelled like a mouse apartment complex, I'd pull the engine and remove tins to clean anything I could find. Glad I did as the fins were completely blocked. Also removed the rotted exhaust but found the exhaust studs so rusted you cannot even tell there are threads let alone nuts on them (still need to be replaced)

The next 3 pix are from today and yes, the front of the car in on jack stands. I had removed the rubber boots that the heat exchangers connected to, and used my pressure washer to force out what I could of the mice nests. Worked pretty good, but did forget about the defroster ducts and stuff in the frontend Smells alot better though Attachments:

Since being laid off in May, this thing has taken a backseat in the "get it done" dept. I keep plugging away at it though as funds and time allow. Thinking I should rewire the car while I am there, since before I pulled the engine I found a few "chewed" spots. That and I'm not a fan of the old style fuses. Attachments:

Looks like you're on your way to getting it roadworthy. If the wires are chewed; I'm a fan of replacement - who knows what they didn't decide to taste. I have the Bug Me video #9, Installing Wiring Harness, Identifying wires, switches, relays, etc. Let me know if you want to borrow it. I'll assume the engine turns over, you're just in the process of cleaning it out. If you need any help; let me know. I'm busy through 9/18, but should have some free time after that.
