OK, time for a little update. Got the spring plates installed. (not my favorite job!) Then installed the trailing arms; after I cleaned them up and painted them. Started to install the drop spindles. Then I realized I needed to press out the king pin to do this. So, I am now stalled on that install. Friend of mine is going to do this for me soon. So, Saturday Steve and John were over. The three of us stood the pan on it's side so I could paint the bottom of the pan. I am brushing on chassis saver. Might be overkill for a race car but it is easy to get at now. Not so much later.

Latest color idea. Or, maybe more like this: I really can't decide....

Pan is looking really good. Were you able to twist Jason's arm on the paint?

Worked on the body a while with Jason today. Steve kept trying to talk him into hiding lead on the car. Hope to have the paint done by early November. Gives me plenty of time to have the pan fully ready to go.

Looks great! At this rate you might have to put studs on the tires and go ice racing.
I like the second option for wheels (chrome or silver versus the orange).

Made some progress today. Got the spindles/carriers on the trailing arms and painted them. Painted and installed the shocks. Installed the backing plates and the brakes along with the stainless lines. Went with all new wheel cylinders etc. Drums are being turned tomorrow to eliminate the outer lip (most of it).
