Latest concept: Though it will have deck lid standoffs and no trim. Possibly no running boards either....

I like the way that looks better then the gray and black idea. Now after winning..... will the drag bug be done sooner?

You must have a lot of parking spaces at your house. And when did you learn all about transmission and engine mods. Last year you hadn't even opened an engine.
;D

I would love to get this on the track this year at least once. Probably won't happen though. Lot's to be done after the body is ready.
I don't have enough parking spaces. That is probably going to be a problem this year. I am still not an expert on engine and trans mods. Still ton's to learn. Fortunately there are lots of friendly and helpful VW people on here.

Bought back the rims that were on my beige '67 from the new owners. These were the chrome stock style rims, one pair 5.5" and one pair 4.5". Had the chrome removed and painted them originally. Got the hub caps with them, going to use them on the bus eventually. Selling the trim rings. Today I started stripping off the original paint so I can repaint for the '64. Then I removed all the original tar board off the tunnel.

It is going to be nice. Quick release deck-lid and removable rear apron. Should make engine work nice and easy.

We are looking at the Lexan idea. Probably going to do that. The '64 tranny in it is missing the output shaft.... Have two '67 tranny's. So, for now, going to go that direction.
