Well it must be mid-May 'cause work has started on the car again....... Dave came over today and we put in the rear and quarter windows. Rear window has proper update. Before Dave got here I did some assembly work and installed the goverment issued patch panels for effect.

Very nice Rudy. I like the Script on there. Cool floor pans! This is going to be a fun car.
Oh, and it is mid-month but not mid-May. Time to flip the page on the calendar. Look for Splash!

Hey Rudy, this looks great. Remind me again why you aren't racing the '72 this season?

Not much to report, seems it only gets 15 minutes of attention here and there. Today I'm waiting on the weather, so the wiring got a little work done. Don't let them tell you you can't get the proper color code wire for the left turn signals. There's a place in Zeeland that uses a sophisticated process to make it ;D ;D ;D As it turns out, this actually required less than a gallon of paint

Well those 15 minutes here and there are starting to add up. Still doesn't have any wiring to speak of, but that will happen next. It's begining to look like a car.

Will it be ready for the Bug Run?

It probably won't be there either way. I'm still concentrating on cleaning up my garage, basement, barn, etc. at the swap meet.

Looking good Rudy! I really like the maroon trim. So is it going to be racing at the Drag Day?

Thanks Dustin. Beth gets credit for the trim color. I asked her "do you think we should leave it shiney, paint it matte black, or paint it silver?" She didn't chose from the list I gave her obviously and I'm really glad I asked. Don't really know when it will be done. Lots of homeowner stuff in the way.

I like the look Rudy. Bumpers would look good non-shiney too.

Thanks Bren. Good suggestion. I will probably wait to change them until after it is running. I'm thinking matte black with silver tape stripe. What do you think?

I am not sure about a silver stripe since then you may be getting to many colors going on. Perhaps a beige or maroon stripe would be better. Then paint the wheels as well.

Hey Rudy, that's looking very sweet. I can't wait to see it at an autocross!
