I may come a few times to hang out and if the rules are fair to allow my heavy Ghia or even my heavier Bus. I might have to run down the track too. I will never really beat up either of my VW's nor will I become a hard core racer. Just a occasional runner.

I'm interested in running. I'm curious what my 1600 can do. I'll be even more curious of what my 2 liter T4 can do, but I do enjoy putting my foot into the 1600.

Haha, oh yeah, how's that? I know it costs to run down the strip, but does it cost you to get out of the house too =P

I think this would be a blast. I was thinking about building a big 2275, maybe go small now. I wouldn't be ready this year, would be next year. I have a tub though. If enough interest all lightened/shortened cars could have one class then another for full-bodied. You all are right about getting addicted! Let the speed bug bite! Where will it end? Maybe a 800 hp club racer? Sorry, I'm new here, I shouldn't be saying stuff like that.

What does it cost to make a run down the track? Are all tracks pretty much same price or big variation?

$15 for the day or $20 for the day. The most I have run in one night is 9 times. So I would say about $2 a run if you hurry up and get back in line.

That's cheaper than seeing a movie, and I'm sure a lot more fun! Just have to get my car set up. I would like a stroker for low end street use. Sounds like a new thread...

We have seen almost everything out on the track. Full size 4 door 4X4's, Conversion Vans, Snowmobiles, Jr. dragsters, 70's Cadillacs. You name it and people will run it!
We have even seen 21 second VW Bugs out there ;D
