Its ALIVE!! It worked out just like I thought. The sound does not do justice to the volume difference but notice in quiet mode you can hear the lifters in loud mode you cannot. Id say its still pretty livable even in loud mode and is only one octave above the single quiet I was running. Tell me whatcha think. Oh it didnt really get hot at all!

Ok replaced my cheapie center console with a nicer one, also made a gas pedal to work with the annoying wheel. my home made gas pedal. Before after can you see the center console??

I like your center console it gives a modern touch to the classic beetle. I too have a center console in the Ghia but mine its the simple cheep one. Less cooler than yours. With the center console my big feet could not squeeze between the console and the brake pedal. The is why for the first year of Ghia driving I had to remove my shoes. Later it was fixed by modifying the pedal assembly.
Why is your wheel annoying? I like my wheel and it replaced the original pedal.

I wish that console would have fit in my Bug, I would have kept it. I like the idea of how you made your roller work with a pedal.

If you look at the gas pedal "after" pic you can see that the console has a monster chunk out of it for your foot, this is more comfy than the old plastic cheapie one I had. I did have to modify the console a bit to make it work (I never have any hesitation when It comes to modifying something to fit) I needed to relocate the radio to make the console fit as well (lot of work as it is a radio/dvd/gps/slices dices and makes joulian fries Ie lots and lots of wires!!!) but it was so worth it. It looks better in person as you dont notice the velcro without the flash The old gas pedal (wheel) was just not comfortable especially when driving barefoot. I need to drive it around to see if I like the new setup. I modified the original gas pedal to have more range so I wanted to keep that. So I made it so I could keep the wheel and just add the pedal. Seems to work great but Ill know more after a few hundred miles this weekend. Im not liking the chin spoiler at this time and may not install it. It needs a lot of mods (im not above that) frankly Im not feelin it right now. Maybe after Mam Ill get the sawzall out if I feel the itch.

www.custompowderkote.com/ This is the only person I'd ever take my stuff to for powder kote, he's in linwood. Prices are always great, and the work is always great, check his site and give him a call. (not to steal the thread but it's a good place to go through. He also prints body vinyls and such, he told me he could print vinyl to completely wrap my truck in yellow (instead of having it painted) for 100$ total, installation was a bit more but 100$ for enough vinyl to wrap a whole dodge dakota ext. cab, just to give an idea of his prices are like.

I might of worded that wrong but It was 100$ for the vinyl and like 200 or 300$ for the install but it would be a lot of seaming the pieces together and included pulling off my fender flares and wrapping them separate. So $300-$400 to completely wrap the truck and I think he said less than 2 days from drop off to pick up, and their vinyl has like a 7 yrs out doors warranty, compare all that to what painting would cost.
