Well Talked with CB and they feel that the upper adj is rusted not welded into place. They recommend me hitting it with rust penetrant and then hitting it with a ball filled hammer (got one). I would be glad if this was the case because then I dont have to take the beam apart again. We shall see. I have wired up all the nitrous so that I can just shove the motor in when my exh arrives. ETA Friday. After it gets here just need to install the exh and install motor, wire up, then its down to test and tune, finish up some interior wiring and then Im done for the winter!!!! Then we begin on the planes and Helping Aaron with his project.

We can work out a deal for the old exh that ought to fit nicely on yours last pics of uncovered exh such a shame was about to stuff it in when I ran out of gas. Ill throw it in Sat morning. not giving up on the heat idea. sometimes you need to just walk away. night night.

I wanted to direct the heat to the heat tubes I installed so I can have some heat. Also the less heat the cooler the engine. Not to mention keeping the heat from melting oil lines and such. Of course you may win on this one as the heat tubes do not seem to be fitting very well. Anyway the engine is in... All thats left is wiring, piping. gener BS.

1 5/8 is even to big for a 1600 ,sure it will bolt up but ,Torque curve it out the window, may have all power on the topend though ;D I've done back-to-back testing and 1 3/8 works awesome on 1200-1641cc 1 1/2 for 1600- 1915 ,, 1 5/8 for 1915-2276 and 1 3/4 for very healthy 2276-2332 ect,, you can feel the diff even with a 'Butt Dyno" ;D ;D ;D

Well the heater idea is not happening. I started wiring and the restart should be by the end of the week depending on how the week goes.

Well one carb and all the wiring is done. I went to install the left carb and found that a repair I made for the left rear nos injector with JB did not set correctly due to the cold in the garage. Sooooo ((sigh)) I took the inj back out cleaned it all off redid the JB and this time put it in my basement for better curring properties. It was about this time I shook the intake with the injectors on it that had the jets in it and I heard the noise of the jets rattling around (up and down I assume) and Im pretty sure they need to be seated or there will be some leakage of gas. Im kinda bummed about thinking of an alternative setup as it was a bugger getting all the copper fittings to fit. Still dont want to blow up my engine due to gas sneaking around the jet.. sooooo I left the garage in a huff and Im done for the night. I need to think about this and how to fix it.

After much dreaming about the issue I figured out that the jets are for another system, not NX . So I went online to summit racing and got 4 .018's as those are the ones that dont fit and are rattling around in the bores, the .020 are fine. Just a little 25.00 speed bump. Cant wait till Ally is back together and running. Sooooo close. After I zip the back up together and get her back on all fours Ill finish up some interior stuff and then wait till the next warm day of 50 degrees or more so I can take it to the shop to get the alignment redone. Ah the joys of modified vehicles!
