Goodvolks Dune Day September 25, 2010

well i got here yesterday night. took the rail to the dunes this morning and it took a nuts on me right off of the trailer.so ill be out of the event.

I got the car finished last night. Took it of a good test ride thru the lawn. (now I am missing some grass. lol.) I can't wait, we will be up there on Friday afternoon. I will be in a black and white 2 seat buggy, and a friend of mine will have a white baja. See ya all there...

Oh yeah...
Our group will be these two guys, (I'm the long haired fella), my wife, his wife and kids, the green rail, and tha 'Burban.

He is planning on taking the 'Burban out to the beach and parking it there for the day.

sweet, I just saw this post. I'm actually leaving tomorrow to stay at a cottage on the gravel road just past the state park. I'll definitely be in the dunes tomorrow through Sunday. Been going up to SL since I was 6 years old. Always driving the cheapest, pan style buggies. The kind you never see anymore. My dad and bro might be going up Saturday, too. great timing. Jack Medulla, how come your from Holland and I never see you around? We got to cruise dude. I can never find anyone to hit D&W Sunday nites, always by myself. I'll look you up tomorrow at the waterfront resort, head south down the dirt road and you'll see my cheap yellow wheeled rail, Smiths cottage.

You know ME, you just don't know my car. You supplied the 74mm crank for the 2054 and the race prepped cv's for the axles!
I've been wanting to hit D&W some Sunday, it just never seems to work out. See at the Lake!

OK we (Addison, Jamie, A.J. and I) are leaving from my house and heading up M 40 to U.S. 31 in Holland then up to the dunes. Yes I know how to get there. Any one want to follow us? Or need help getting there let me know.

what time do you guys plan on leaving? we're going that route and planning on leaving allegan around 3 today

we're going to stop at appletree quick when we first get there cause i need a flag still and then we're probably going to go set up camp before we make our way to the dunes.

Ok so as before mentioned Bren had said something about having a picnic lunch and kinda a bring your own thing.... I did make some homemade cookies and Brownies to share with everyone for lunchtime Can't wait to see you all

For those who have never been on the sand (dunes). Make sure you have 1) glasses, sun, safety or goggles. 2) a hat. 3) a scarf or hanky(to cover your face/mouth). 4) Sun screen.
Have FUN! be safe and watch out for the other guy!
I so want to go, but like always blood is thicker than oil. Maybe next year!
