Did some plumbing today Is that just a standard Stainless braided brake line you used for the oil pressure switch? Been thinking of doing the same thing to make an extension to go to a tee fitting so I have the oil pressure warning light switch and a mechanical pressure gauge. Always preferred the combination of mechanical and electrical for redundancies sake. A stainless braided brake line would be the perfect size to fit though the rubber seal in the top of my cooling tin and would make a solid electrical ground to the case.

I don't think I would rely on the stainless braid to be your ground. Other than that, make sure the brake line has a Teflon core (I think they all do). Regular brake line rubber (EP, Ethylene Propylene) is not compatible with oil.

The hose is a -03 AN hose from Jegs that is PTFE lined. The idea was mounting the oil pressure sender on the firewall, but inside the car to keep as many electrical connections as possible away from exposure to rain on the 67 drag car. Not sure if it will happen or not, still thinking about it. I think mounting the coil outside might be better with the MSD box inside. The oil pressure gets to be small potatoes at this point

Got the Sport Bug out of winter storage today. Fired right up, which is always a good thing. Took a couple small trips with it also.
John took the Zwitter around the block for the first time this season. Seemed to run pretty good too.
Bring on the warm weather...

Installed the new Kaddie Shack Kadrons on Candy this weekend. Yesterday took her for her first drive of the year. My Son was just a tad bit excited. She still needs to be dialed in but d**n...above 2k RPM she pulls great! I convinced Clinton to help out this week if he can find the time

I have some well worn Kads that I'm slowly working out the kinks in. I recently replaced the throttle shaft seals/bushings on one side and that helped a ton. I've been told to go to a size 30 on the venturi but I'm not sure what that'll do yet. Mine run great and sound great except directly off idle especially in first and worse when cold. I get a hesitation if I don't keep rpms over 1200 while going into gear.

Very nice bug krmnnghia! When do we get to see more photos? Here are some olderpics...once the weather gets better, a Photog friend of mine wants to do a shoot and get some GoPro footage. I'd be interested in hearing how you had the Kads setup and what size engine your running. So Motor info...1776, 8:1, Engle 110 cam, Outlaw heads(40x35.5), AA P&C's, Forged Crank, Dual 40/44 Kadrons(32 Venturis/Hi Flo kit), lightened flywheel, pro street trans with freeway flyer gears, Remote Oil w/cooler, Deep Sump, Obnoxious Phat boy exhaust(really need to get this quieter). I really hope Clinton can help me tune her properly. If the weather cooperates, Her first show will be at the MSU Racing Club's Spring Car show on the 18th. Mostly Imports and some supercars but some old iron does show up.

I have the exact same engine accessory setup in my 71 bug (engine size is unknown though) except for a 010 distributor. It's fun. That exhaust is pretty dang loud. At times if the road is really bumpy it has scraped on me.

Really nice car! I look forward to seeing it this summer. Did you get both racks with the car too?

Really nice car! I look forward to seeing it this summer. Did you get both racks with the car too? Thanks Bren...No PO sold the roof rack because it took away from the rag. I tend to agree. The rear rack is a remake of the very rare Jim Dandy rack. Mine has taller side rails than the Jim Dandy and can hold a plethora of vintage coolers/suitcases. I have a Pile of those ready to go. Next step after Kadrons get dialed in is to lower the rear 1 outer notch.
