Good to see another project thread on here. I look forward to seeing this progress. Rattle can paint jobs can be really fun.

How narrow are you going? What are you doing for the rear, readjusting the spring plates? Theres a guy on thesamba the sells a drop bracket that keeps the spring plate in the stock position and is completely bolt on, they look pretty nice.

Dan The pickup is a rat rod that my father and I were building, he had a pretty severe stroke on Christmas last year. So its on the back burner for now. I intend on finishing it, was sort of hoping that he would be able to help finish it, but Im not sure at this point. It is because of this, and lack of funds that I have not done much on my cars for the last year. Even now its lonely out there in the garage by myself, last night was the first time in 5 months that Ive been in the garage, and its weird with out my father their to hang with.

I saw those brackets on samba and I realy want some, but he has some pretty bad threads on there about how he ripped people of in the past, and Im not sure I want to send him money.

I've seen that too, sounds like the guy is making an honest attempt at doing the right thing, but money doesn't grow on trees and I'd be nervous gambling on a guy with a bad rep. Besides its free to adjust the splines and does the same thing in the end. I went one inner and one outer but didn't notch my spring plates next time I pull the rear end apart I'm going to notch them.

I want them cause I know that it lets the susp do what it should do where it was meant to be, except you still get the camber. I dont mind cutting off the shock mount. I am possibly considering a trans raise eventualy, we'll see.

By spring I want it drivable. Not alot to get it there. As long as I keep on it. I have enough money to do it and a majority of the parts. Im not doing a finished paint job, that I dont have money for that. Though it is eventualy gonna be finished. Its to nice of a car to not finish.
