If one person orders family style everyone in that group also gets family style. We usually get the chicken(everyone gets chicken) and roast beef(to die for, IMHO). You also get smashed potato/gravy, stuffing, noodles, bread, dinner salad and pie/ desert(usually a take home item). The price last I knew was $17/ a head(for the two meat dinner). I think they charge younger kids by the pound??. And if you go out of there hungry it's you your own %&#@_** fault. See ya after school!!!!

This is a Family Style Restaurant

The entrees will be crisp broasted chicken, tender roast beef, real mashed potatoes with rich homemade gravy and made-from-scratch noodles with corn on the side. Family-style dinners also come with homemade bread dressing, tossed salad with our own special dressings, bread with apple butter and our own Amish peanut butter spread, beverage and a dessert. It’s basically a buffet served table-side!

Family-style dinners come complete with your choice of beverage and a generous wedge of pie for dessert. (We offer 30 varieties of pie in our restaurant and whole pies are also available to purchase from our home-style bakery just down the hall from our restaurant.)

Now they are a little on the expensive side but the food is well worth it.

Chicken + Roast Beef ............................................$16.95 each
Children 12 and under are charged only $1.25 per year!

On Saturday Wifey and I ran a Pre Color Tour. I only found one road that I need to change due to the traffic. I am planning on running it again to verify if my revised route will work.

I ran the route keeping my speed at about 40 mph and I made to Das Dutchman Essenhaus about 20 minutes before 3:00pm. So I looking at making the reservation at 3:00pm on Saturday.

I know that Saturday the 8th would have been a perfect day for the Color Tour. It was nice sunny warm Autumn day with very vibrant colors. As we headed south we saw more and more green so I am hoping for another perfect autumn on the 15th with even more color as we head south.

I talked to Essenhaus about having reserved parking and they said that Saturday is there busiest day. So we are going to have a free-for-all-parking. Which means just find yourself a nice parking spot. We will not be able to park the VW's next to each other. Sorry

When we arrived at 3:00pm ish on Saturday Essenhaus was still kind of busy but I have it a lot worse. It might of also been busy due to the beautiful autumn day. So plan for a busy restaurant but we will have reserved seating at 3:00pm so it will not be too bad.

I will reserve 30 spots at 3:00pm lets hope we can fill up each chair, I can reserve more if needed so let me know if you are planning to attend.

Ok I have just made the reservation for Das Dutchman Essenhaus. I have made the reservation for 30 people on Saturday the 15th at 3:00pm. The total individual price of the meal is $20.68 per person that includes drink and gratuity.

I need to get an accurate number of people attending due to the fact that Essenhaus states that I am responsible for up to 90% attendance of the reservation. I am allowed to make changes to the number of people 24 hours prior to the reservation time.

So I need an accurate list of people attending

I'm going, just me of course , Thing is I am not going back wid ya'll. Cuz I found some doors 2.5 hours away from our dinner place. So Im traveling with you all, eating some grub, then picking up some doors in Indiana, then making my way back home all in Ally LOL !! Ill be doing the drive without a pass seat or a rear seat bottom. It should be an adventure!!
