Are you thinking of going Dave T? Driving the Buggy? You would get bonus points!!!
This seems like the longest Color Tour yet. Yea I know we can just drive down 131 but where is the fun in that?
Here are my thoughts
I was thinking of a noon/lunch trip to Essenhaus but also a dinner/supper trip was suggested. With a dinner/supper trip it would make for a late almost dark trip home.
How does arriving at Essenhaus at 2:00-3:00pm ish sound? This would mean we can leave the meeting place at noon ish, arrive at Essenhaus for a 2:00-3:00 ish meal. That would put the drive home with full belly's after 4:00ish with a possibility back home near 6:00-7:00ish.
If we plan for a lunch/noon meal at Essenhaus. We would have to leave the meeting place in the morning. If we do a supper/dinner meal we might have to drive in the dark. With a 2:00-3:00ish meal we might get back at a decent time.
Also what to do about the trip home?
Follow the same trip back to the meeting place? Have me plan a different route to somewhere. Kind of like a ColorTour route 2? Or just run up 131 and everyone just head there own way home.
I am planning for a 1/2 way stop/picture spot for the way down there.
Let me know your suggestions

Well for me add 3 hours to the trip home I will play it by ear and break away when I feel it makes sense to. Frankly it does not matter much when I get home and since the new electrical system and led tail lamps Ally is night friendly. Dan

I like the idea of leaving the meeting place at noon & letting people go back the way they choose.

I would prefer to start earlier and be there for lunch by 1:00. But that's just my opinion.

Ok I need to start planning for the number of people attending and a time. So I can contact Das Dutchman Essenhaus and get a reservation.
So let me know if you are planning on going and what time you would like to eat. Personally I am leaning toward a 2-3 ish meal to kind of avoid the lunch and supper rush. If everyone would like a different time that is fine too.

AJ,
My wife and I are planning on going on the Color Tour. The 2-3pm timeframe for arriving is fine. We're coming from West of 131, where is everyone meeting?
Thanks for planning this! Brian

AJ, I will be going, Debbie is on the tentative list (might need to watch a couple of the grandkids). Put us down for two just in case. Thanks!

Marie and I are going. Any time is good. Do like the idea of missing the lunch rush.

I am planning on coming, hoping the wife can attend also. Middlebury is only about an hour from me, so I will be closer to home.

AJ, Karen and I will be riding with Addison(and her parents). So does everyone know this is family style? They use to have a room for the larger gathers, don't know if it is still available or not? If one person orders family style everyone in that group also gets family style. We usually get the chicken(everyone gets chicken) and roast beef(to die for, IMHO). You also get smashed potato/gravy, stuffing, noodles, bread, dinner salad and pie/ desert(usually a take home item). The price last I knew was $17/ a head(for the two meat dinner). I think they charge younger kids by the pound??. And if you go out of there hungry it's you your own %@_** fault. See ya after school!!!!
