I vote for the 22nd, Looks like too many people cannot make the 15th AJ mentioned in an earlier post that the 10th was too early and the 17th was too late. I think if the tour is later than the 15th, we may have to call it the "Fall Tour". The "Color" may be gone by then. ;D Though Bren did bring up a good point about the colors being different traveling south. Do we have any Northern Indiana members that could confirm fall color dates? Personally, I plan on making the drive if it stays on a Saturday no matter what the date. It sounds like a good time!

I think we should go with the 22nd. Seems the best day for availability of most.
I personally don't mind if we miss colors. To me this trip is about a string of vws on back roads and hanging out with friends along the way then a nice dinner together. Colors are secondary, to me.
(AJ, what is the color tour date? Let's lock it so we can promote it!)

I was on vacation ........ Back now. Leanne aka Wifey will only be available on the 8th or 15th. She trumps everyone (I need a warm place to sleep at night) Plus I need a co pilot. I am going with my gut here and I feel the 15th would be best. Sorry to everyone. This years Color Tour is heading to Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury IN. Starting near Galesburg Exit 85 from 94 35th Street. www.essenhaus.com/The Color Tour will be starting near Galesburg Exit 85 from 94 35th Street. There is a Gas Station just north of the Freeway that we can use for the meeting place. In future if the Fall Color Tour continues we should keep the date near the 15th of October and to avoid confusion and planning lets plan the 2012 Color Tour to be the weekend of October 13-14 of 2012. |
