Yup looks like parts from a T-4. I would like to see a pic of the heads. I see dished pistons, the dip stick tube tells me car engine. Most of the busses had an oil filler with dipstick hole. The Weber progressive will limit the power but they are easier to hook up to your gas pedal. Thanks Dave T

Jug looks to be just an aftermarket cyl.doesn't mean it's a stroker, just measure the distance the piston travels from TDC to BTC that's the stroke ;D

Those look like 1.7 Bus heads. 4 stud intake. I thought the 914 heads are 3 stud? Most all the other parts look like 914. The exhaust is for sure.

The 4 intake tubes that go to the carb are all seperate pieces so using the X pipe collector or whatever its called for the intake wouldn't be possible with 3 studs.

Part numbers in the heads are 022 101 372, P-Number on the block 004 101 101 A.
After reading a post on another site There is no number that I can locate near the "rectangle" shaped feature on the top of the motor, what exactly is this rectangular opening on top of the motor?

There is a breather that fits in there on the bus engines. It is held on by a bail.
Is there a number on the top left of the fan shroud?

The only numbers on the shroud I could find are 021 119 215 A and 021 119 225 One was located on the front and one on back near where the cooling fan is located.

My rail has the swing axles and I wish to make it road legal at some point, is there something I can do to maybe squat the rear end down when on actual roads so the tires will ride flat and not just wear out the edge of the tire. My thought was maybe some sort of chain setup, but not sure if it would stress the axles or anything. I'd like to keep the swing axles for off road use, and can't afford to change it out even if I wanted to.

Mine is swing. I think you will find when you get moving they will level out. Mine seem to.
