Yes, I will be there both days in my Beetle. It's possible I might drive my father's 911 one of the two days though, depends on how attached he is to his tires.....
It would be great to see a couple of you there.

This Saturday (tomorrow) is another Furrin Group autocross day! I'll be bringing my '68 Beetle, and at least one other classic Beetle is supposed to be there (owner is local here in Grand Haven. Patrick, it looks like his Beetle might give yours some serious competition). Anyone else planning to show with their Beetle? This one is at the My Auto Import Center (or My Import Auto Center or whatever) in Muskegon just across from the mall. Hope to see some of you there!

Well, it was just David and I again in our Beetles. This is a "permanent" course, which is unususal in autox. Makes it a lot of fun to compare one year against the last one. David was tops in the vintage class and I was mid-pack in 2nd

This year really has not been my year eh? I hope to do some auto x next year. At least Ally will have a trans in it that can contain the HP this time around. Really wanted to go though.

We missed you at the autocrosses this year, but the year is not necessarily over! There is a tentative event for 11/6 at US131. I must admit that I probably won't be air-cooled at that one, however.

I dont expect to have Ally together till the 10th or so. Even if it was I gotta save up for gas money to do the two color tours. After the trans money is gunna be tight for a few months.  |

Almost autocross season again! I know Rudy and I would both love to see some more VW folks out there.
I've been searching for more info about for a rumored Goodvolks autocross? Any news on that?

There is going to be an autocross at the Bug Run's this year. A separate event taking place at the same time. Any of us can participate in that. They will also have access to the track for fun runs.

Ah, I see. The first one unfortunately conflicts with a Furrin group autocross day. However, it is only short distance up the road. I'm going to beg and plead with the Furrin group coordinator to allow me to run either as early or as late as possible so that I can attend both events. Do we have any more details at this point? (Times the autocross will be running, etc? Is there a thread dedicated to this that I've missed?) |

It is a seperate group running it. Think it is autox. I believe Rudy knows for sure.
