Dave , One option was a Corvette shop in K-Zoo , That where my body shop man takes his high end and or top dollar cars to , One of the cars he just got done sold for $155,000.00 !!! This is why I first went to Kokomo 3 years ago to find someone to give me a 2ND opinion other than the Good old Boy - My friends dad ( 40 year VW shop owner ) He's who said it's a $10,000 - $12,000 bus 5 years ago , Now we just got done doing $13,000.00 in upgrades & repairs , The repairs from getting hit were only $ 6,000.00 or so . And there more thing I would like to do this winter , I still have not gone into the motor ( Rudy's Camper Special ) That will wake thing's up . Till next time Glen

I could have told you that but don't worry I owned a GTI that had black out windows drove it for 3 years was only stopped once in Portage. Without a ticket, only a verbal warning that I did not do. I was going to tint out the Ghia but had trouble with funky rear window.
You can always cruise with the front windows open or just half way. I believe they only care about the windshield and the first 2 side windows after that who cares

My sons wife got pulled over last night , Part of it was for tinted windows - He said none @ all , So Andy checked on the Internet the cop was right and even that area that it was or can be used only 35% , So don't you know I have 20 % on mine . We took it off the doors , an I started to reassemble them , ( Door glass & felt SUCKS !!!!!!!!! )

I have tint on my GTI but just the rear 3 windows. A friend of mine had it on his GTI and a cop gave him a ticket for it. Even when the cop asked why he was dressed up and his reply was I am going to a friends funeral. What a dickwad cop.

Had a better day with the doors , Passenger side 100% done , Drivers side we had to use a used door and the window crank cable turned out to be junk but I didn't know this until I was about 85% done , The only way to remove is to start over its part (A) type thing . Still have rear side lights to mount when they get here and the rubber mats that rap arround the front seats . My list is getting shorter .

YOUR EXCITED , HOW DO YOU THINK I 'M DOING !!!!!!!!!!!!! . I was thinking about my list I forgot the slider door seal , Stereo Antenna , and front VW emblem , On my drivers door panel the little clip recievers some are missing so I tried to remove the ones from my old door and that did not work out to good ,They were thin small round rubber things that may have been soft years ago but they are hard now . Back to the books to find new ones . Also after changing my oil I see that I have an oil leak @ the drain plug I think its only the copper seal so I will change it one more time before KOKOMO and fix it then .
