I asked Stephanie about having an area in the pits reserved for VW's. She said she would do that for us. We need to let her know approximately how many VW's will be there.
Get signed up everyone. This is going to be a blast!

So far just Clinton Scheidegger and me, Ron Perkins are showing up. Unfortunately, most of our club lives in OH. That's why I want to build up the west Michigan side. Not sure if Wild will have a ride together or not. Actually the car he had at the show(his dads), the polar silver 57 runs a mid to high 15sec 1/4..that motor was in my dunebuggy for a while, it's a budget 1835cc. You don't need much. Here's a site you can go to see what HP your car is putting out by plugging in different times, mph, etc. www.turbofast.com.au/Drag.htmlGenerally, your car will weigh about 1900 lbs. My 67 weighs 1950 with my fat butt, 1750 without it. My best speed so far last year with 17lbs boost was 126.7 mph, so that calculated out to about 310 hp...that's flywheel hp, I believe. I should have run about a 10.80, but I granny launched it so it wussed out at 11.44. Stock brakes are a little iffy at that speed. I'll try and get some more participants, even if they're not the DdK die hard racers.

Cool, That budget 1835cc sounds like a good power plant for my 74 Resto-Custom what are the specs on it? Keep trying to get more participants we want to make this as big as we can. Also Mark can run the Oval cant he?

There's at least 10 people with some sweet cars within 5 minutes of my home in Holland, I'll see who I can pull in.
I won't be crankin the boost on my ride on the 5th...a few weeks ago I pulled the Mallory Hyfire off as it puked(boost retard and multi spark)..decide to bypass the dial-a-boost and just keep it at the lowest setting, 7lbs. It still runs a nice mid 12 so I can live with that for a while...helps keep things together better, too.

ATTENTION: I just went to 131's website, I see that the Ride for Babies event was postponed until 10-5...Someone may want to check with Steph if they are still allowing test and tuners ( I would assume they would other than the fact that there will be mostly motorcycles there).

And here is her reply:
Yes, we will still be having the Test & Tune along with the March of Dimes. T&T is 12 noon- 6 pm. The March of Dimes starts at 9 am- 5 pm. They aren’t on the track until 2:30-3 pm. Then you can all run together.
Glad you guys are coming out!
Stephanie
