This year to show their appreciation to us customers, once again their will be Funfest. To show what a great job we do keeping their pockets lined buying parts from them, they decided that they are going to also charge us $15 entry fee. It was free before. Oh, and if you want to go on the road trip and do the BBQ lunch.......that's $75 It's like having a party for us and charging us to show up! Harsh Winters will be boycotting their show this year! That's terrible news, I could understand charging those who have not pre registered but wow that's just awful looks like this show is going to end up in the history books. This show means alot to me and they are going to screw it up. Looks like Larry's Spring Nationals will get our attendance.

Wow, that is too bad. I really liked this show.
(In some respects the $15 per car load of people is not too bad. However, if many clubs are boycotting what fun would it be?) Won't help their business any either.

I agree with Dustin, Larry's is the one we should go to as a club. May be it will open up the eyes of Mid America.

I agree. We need to start looking into Hotels and see if we can work out a discount.
Personally, I am glad we are going to Larry's.

I am not glad we are going to Larry's instead, I am really bummed out about MAM. That show means more than I can explain for personal reasons. I am looking forward to experiencing Larry's show but not at the cost of MAM.

How about the GoodVolks, Harsh Winter and any other club contact MAM and express our displeasure of their making a free show too expensive for us to attend and tell them if it doesn't change our clubs will be looking at other event and supplers?

Last year was my first Funfest and we had a really good time. I have plans for buying a bunch of stuff for my '74 this year. Does Larry's offer a discount like MAM?

JCWhitney has 20% off everything at our Spring Jump Start on May 1st. Show is free. Great door prizes.

Wow. How interesing. Didn't even think about the Vette Fest people. They were charged THIS year for the first time. Yep $25 minimum. Some of the vette people pregnant dog, but of course they have money to burn. Their band was REO Speedwagon. They said they had 15,000 Vettes attend. So with them bringing in around $375,000 from the Vettes on the cheapest admittance(premium parking $50 and total package for $250). Mike Y has people hooked. Who cares about a few VW and Vettes they lose. Thier still making a killing. If you do plan on attending the Funfest, make sure you get the deal for $15 early. The vette peeps after a deadline had to pay $40 to register up from their $25.
