Update huh... Well she is still in my garage just like i left her. Wife and I discussed a few things and decided to sell the Jeep which is 90% sold as of today and use that money to buy a high MPG beater car for me to drive to and from work. I will use the left over money to finish the VW. First thing I will be doing in a week or so is ordering everything to complete the chassis. That includes all new German brake components, all cables, all new bearings, new shifter, new 145/65/15's an d a few other things. Next is new new running board fastener panels installed and masterseries applied in the heater channels before assembly. Beater car is going to be a mid 90's Honda civic. Oh to have 40mpg again.  Oh and body work on this car is totally delayed because of Dustin and my fenders. ;D |

Been a while. Finally got around to finishing up the front end minus the tie rods and steering box which will get done this week. Then the entire rear bag setup and trans will be coming back out and put back in with everything torqued to specs blah blah blah.  ;D |

That is so sweet. When is it going to be back together and running down the road? Oh god I have no idea. The pan should be done in the next few weeks if nothing comes up. Then I will put the body back on and check for any clearance issues, bolt up the fenders and get some pics and vids. |

Well I have been absent for quite a long time. Consistent 12-15hr long work days make you not want to do anything but eat and sleep. I found a body guy to do my work and took the fenders to him today. Once they are done and I approve the work he does I will take him the hood and decklid and then eventually the car. Wife would really like to see this car at a show this year and so would I. We decided on this color although I don't know exactly what it is.  My body guy uses Dupont so I guess I need to try and track down that color or get really close to it.  |

Well we have a rolling chassis finally! Bags appear to sit perfectly flat when deflated. Tomorrow I will be installing the air compressor, tank, and switches. Hopefully we can get my son on it to test her out.  |

not just the body, that is one of the nicest front beams I've seen and THE nicest stock tank ever

I wasn't a big fan of "drop'n to the weeds" until I saw your project. I like the technology & build - Nice work! The color you chose really stands out. Reminds me of a 68 I repainted back in 1973  Look forward to seeing your progress. Thanks for the updates. |
