Worked on the rail Friday with Steven's help. Fabed up the seat mounts. Got the rear one installed. Front one is made and almost ready for install. Need to add spacers first.

Got the powdercoated pieces back. Color match is not as good as I had hoped. Pretty difficult to match a candy powdercoat I guess. Hopefully once they are all on it will look good. Here is the front 'wing'. Need to do other work on the car before I install the rest.

Seems like I keep going backwards. But it is progress. Got the motor out today with some help from John. When we separated the motor from the trans we smelled something burnt. It was the clutch! Smelled awful. Fortunately the only things looking bad were the tranny seal behind the throwout bearing, the throwout bearing itself, and the clutch. Got all new at George's today. Hope to have it together tomorrow. That clutch was pretty bad. All the way down to the rivets. Fortunately did not put grooves in the clutch or flywheel. Lots of clutch dust in there. Hoping the clutch was going bad all summer and now with a new clutch can get into the 13's this summer!

I didn't think the red engine tins would make that big of a change. Was I wrong. It looks great.

Thanks. I like it too. Really like the round shroud over the angled one. Just don't care for the chrome. Little more progress tonight. Almost used the chrome around the alternator but went with the red.

Liking the U bend! Much cleaner lines than the stinger:

I prefer the straight exhaust but love the red tins.

Got the new battery box mounted. Nice improvement over how it was mounted. Also got the fuse box moved. Had to lengthen 6 wires to be able to move this. Very tedious as it is not easy to reach. Box was gray; painted it with truck bed liner to help it disappear. Had to move it out of the way of the new seats. Sheesh those brake lines look terrible!Next up is installing the seats. Hoped to do that today but just was not feeling it so I stayed out of the garage.
