The pic with the cam gear shows a plug in the oil passage, but then you show it with a filter pump. How are you routing the oil supply?

Well, I thought that was what I was told to do.
Just went downstairs and removed the oil pump cover. Plug has to come out. That plug must have been required for a full flow set up.
Thanks Rudy! You saved me there. I owe you one.

Went to Kevin's to see about some tires for my beetle that he had. Ended up talking to him about his rail. He had it up for sale. Made me an offer I could not refuse. It feels very good to have a rail that is not a huge project. Going to take over where he left off and work on getting it properly street legal. Thanks Kevin! Here are some photos: 2006 Berrien Venture professionally built motor and trans, 1915, dual webers, ceramic coated exhaust, alum beam, all alum floor pan, CNC pedals and cutting brake, Jamar shifter, MSD, etc, etc. Now on to making it street legal....

That is one good-looking rail! What all has to be added to make it street legal? Spedo, turn signals and brake lights?

Cool! but it only has two seats.LOL! Yea, well, only two of us will be going the majority of the time. And there is more room in a two seater for two than there is in the front of a four seater. WOW! That is very nice. John in Plainwell Thank you. It is nice. Nice that I did not have to do the work! That is one good-looking rail! What all has to be added to make it street legal? Spedo, turn signals and brake lights? I need to research that to be sure but I believe: brake lights, running lights, turn signals, hi beam/low beam, horn, windshield and windshield wiper. Not sure if a speedo is required or not. I would like to add one though. Windshield might be a little complicated. Hard to explain. Might try to take some photos. Frame curves at the top so the top of the windshield might not be supported. I am not sure if that will pass.

Bren:
I'm pretty certain that you don't have to have windshield wipers if you can't put a top on it...at least that's what it used to be. You would also have to use safety glass, since you can't use wipers on acrylic. I'm pretty certain that you have to have a speedo, and am not certain about the steering column. Usually you would want a "U" joint or two in it to help protect you in case of a frontal collision...it's always nice not to be speared by the steering column in case of a fender-bender. I know you can get inexpensive turn signals, and some of them don't actually touch the steering column. Some use a magnet to cancel, and others use a timer. Most don't have any at all.

Wow! That is a good looking rail Bren. Thanks. I am thrilled with it. Tried installing my new race trim seats last night. Put me too high up and forward for my liking. Going to use the poly seats for this year I think and mess with the race trims over the winter maybe. Going to focus on making it street legal.

Rail is completely wired as of tonight. All lights, signals, gauges, horn etc work. I could not have done this without ton's of help from AJ! Thanks AJ! I really appreciate it. It is on the trailer ready to go to Star glass tomorrow. They are going to install the windshield. Said it will take up to 3 days. Cut, miter and glue the rubber seal corners, glue the seal into the car, glue the windshield into the seal. Hopefully it will come home Friday. If so I hope to get it inspected and street legal early next week.

Got it back earlier today from the glass company. Got it inspected by a police officer. Tomorrow I am off to the Sec. of State! Hopefully I leave there with a temp. plate.

Got my application for title approved! ;D Left there with a 30 day plate. Next they will call then come out and install the VIN plate. Once that is done I can put a permanent plate on it. I know I could have found a way around this process but now I can rest assured that it is all correct and I should not have any problems.
