I definitely had fun, but was not happy with the car, or more specifically the engine. I have not checked it out yet, but suspect that the 009 was not advancing. The motor just quit pulling at a low rpm. Last year I ran a 19.8 with my stock dual port Super that weighs probably 300-400 lb more than the 68. This year I ran 22.8 when I was expecting an 18. I was having to shift before the shift marks on the speedo. The Super will go at least 10mph past those marks. I considered switching the engine from the Super to the 68, just to quantify the effect of weight, but decided to just get this motor running right. Best reaction time last year was a .02 something and I had a couple of .01 somethings this year, so that was progress.

It's ok, you can still like me, I'm harmless, but watch out for that Steven, he will draw you in with cute babies, entrap you with laughter, and beat you down with VW conversation. It's almost as though he had a mentor, or maybe even a family member that trained him for battle. I know you aren't too old to drive, but, make sure you pay very close attention to which pedal is the gas and which is the brake when pulling into a gas station or convenience store! As for Drag Days, I had as much fun watching Glen and AJ run as I did making my own pass. I should have made a couple more runs, but, I was happy with the one I did make. With a little work, and some traction, I think I can improve greatly on my time.

From the look of the ET's, kind of looks like you bus guys can do that on the way to eventually finishing the quarter mile. :-)
