I prefer to run my adjusters cranked all the way down with drop spindles. Who needs a smooth ride anyway? Bren, any pictures of you cruising around on just the pan yet? I would like to see that.

Congratulations on your 1500 status! I like the idea of the photo too. Not sure how to attach the steering wheel though. Brakes would not work either, except emergency brakes.

Bren think creatively.
Create an "A" frame with some 2x4 to support the Steering wheel and shaft. Mount a temporary brake fluid reservoir to the "A" frame then bleed out the brakes.
Problem solved so when are you going for a drive?

Ok Bren I am up for a challenge you give me a few hours with that frame and I should have it up and running in no time.
I have a few 2x4 kicking around and a brake fluid reservoir somewhere. I am going to need a battery, some battery cables, and some extra wire and some terminal ends.
Sounds like fun to me just as long as I can drive it after you.
What do you say?

Today I got the heater channels, rear cross members, and front firewall fitted to the chassis. Aftermarket parts sure are fun . I am not sure the firewall is fitting just right. Seems the gap between it and the chassis is too big. Will take a lot of 'adjusting' to shrink that gap. Might wait to see how the body fits over it before I do more. Next up is cutting out the rotted parts. Hope to be welding in the new stuff Friday!

Wow Bren you are really moving on this thing! I need to get myself in gear. Also don't worry about that gap since you dont have a pan gasket in there or do you?

I really want to drive this this year! I have motivation, George and Marie don't think I will make it. No pan gasket yet. All the other pieces fit tight to the chassis. This is the only one with a gap and it is about a 1/2 inch. I don't think it is right. Friday Steven is coming over to help with the welding around noon. I think Kenn, A.J. and John will be coming over also. Anyone else that wants to join us is welcome. The more the merrier, as long as we get some work done

Hmm 1/2inch is pretty big. Maybe like you were saying the weight of the body will push it down tighter. I wish I lived closer so I could come help but I am probably going to a movie Friday with my cousin, his girlfriend, and a girl they are trying to fix me up with.
