OK, everyone of use has owned at least 1 VW, right?
Well here is your chance to test your memory, and maybe even surprise yourself. List ALL the VW's you've ever OWNED. This means YOU, not your mom's, not your dad's, but, YOUR car.
I'll start:
In chronological order:
1973 Standard Bug
1969 Squareback
1968 Baja
1971 Standard bug-later became red tub buggy
1972 Super Beetle Baja
1974 412 Variant
1983 GTi
1970 Standard Bug Baja
1971 Super Beetle-"signature car" (this car was well known around the Lansing area in the mid to late 90's, it was in primer and I carried a sharpie with me everywhere, whenever I stopped, I would let people sign it, I even had a few local celebraties names on it, including radio DJ Rich Micheals'!)

Bought the second 65 as a parts car but couldn't bear to tear it apart, so swapped what I needed and sold it for the same price as I bought it.

Wish I could remember all of them. Some notables:
1st Bug: 1968 Red with sprayed on vinyl top, FV rocker stripes, and basket weave wheels bought in late summer of '71. As I recall, Gezon made a bunch of these as a "package".
2nd Bug: Bought a stripped 65 and a rolled over 63 and combined them to make a second car for us. Beth's first Bug
Most missed: Tan '73 Super, bought new, sold in '79. Buyer offered it back in mid 80's, but we didn't have the bucks.
Most owned: White '62, bought with bad engine and fixed it, sold to our mailman, he wrecked it, bought and fixed it again, sold back to mailman. Got it back with bad trans later and parted it out
Most enjoyed: Yellow '72 Super that we have now. Bought in '92. I had a low mile, but rusty, Baja SE and transfered most all of the bits from it to this clean Calif car and visa versa. Took the SE to the auto auction and said good-bye.

Uph let me see if I can remember them all..... 1957 type 1 hard top 1968 squarback 1971 super beetle 1971 bay passenger bus 1964 sunroof bug 1975 scirraco 1971 standard beetle that I cut the top off and made a convt out of. 1973 standard I bought and stripped and resold (it almost got me in jail... funny story that  ) 1964 dune (tub) buggy 1966 sunroof (current car) 1998 new beetle (current car) I think thats it.... that I can remember anyway... |
