Glad to hear it Jerry. If you read the Samba you would think it is near impossible. It is not really all that bad.

I braved the cold a 16" of snow (I measured) to play in the Bus today. I read on thesamba.com that some of the older Bay Bus's still have the moon roof installed. I checked no such luck but someone forgot the child's cot when the interior was removed. Bonus and it looks good.
I also did some painting today of the push rod tubes, oil plate, oil pump cover, and cylinder air deflector plates.

My Dad and I went out to the shop today and cleaned up some of the clutter. Now we can get down to business and hopefully this week or the weekend the body will come off the Baja.

Hi Jerry, I am starting this project with a 1699cc engine. This engine started life as a STF motor then after I scattered my 2275cc engine it became more important. Once everything is dialed in I will step up the cc's ;D

I played hookey. And cleaned all the engine tins of grease, (2 hours of work, on top of the other hour or more already into them). Then figured out why my rear brake shoes wouldnt go down far enough to get the drums on, and assembled the rear brakes for hopefully the last time for a long time. I cant count how many times I took them apart and put them back together. d**n repro shoes, ended up having to slot the bar for the e-brake more so it wouldnt spread the shoes. yeah fun, but done.

Cleaned up the garage a little and put the '63 back to bed. After I started it and smelled the fumes. MMMMM.... Is summer here yet?

I worked on the doors for the blue car. Putting in new to me outer scrapers, lubing the lock mechanism, lubing the latch, lubing the window winder, etc. Doors are not fun in my opinion.
