I'm Planning on coming up for this, if the rail is still running by then.
I'm actually going up to silver lake July 16th i think, does anyone know where to get a good set of used paddles, preferably mounted on wheels for a 4 lug setup? I have street tires on the rail right now, and I think airing down the tires alot will be fine, it just seems like it would be more fun with paddles.

Actually, Desert traks seem like they would be best. Its just so expensive for new tires  |

Mitch: I don't know where to find them for sure but here are a few ideas. www.silverlakeforum.com/ check their classifieds. Try some of the local shops like B&G sandsports in Mears, MI. Don's sportbuggy in Perry, MI. Jim's Buggy shop in Nashville, MI. Barnums Bug Barn in Millington, MI. There may be others but this is all I can think of right now. Never know if they may have taken in some used ones to resell. |

Turns out my co-worker had a set of brand new desert traks mounted on 4 lug wheels just sitting in his garage... That was easy.

Just realized this date conflicts with the last NCVWDRA race.
So, this is getting rescheduled!
Looks like 09/22/12 is our next best date.
In between NCVWDRA and the Bug Run.

My Wife and I are coming. Just have to replace a CV that decided to hit a rock We'll see how terrible a stock 1600 + 30 inch tires runs in the dunes, then i can convince her to let me build a 1915 |
