I'm gonna be "driveway" campin in my new Eriba,Puck tonite ! My first test "camp out ". Gotta see if I wanna slep with my head to the front or the rear of the trailer? Blankets or sleepin bag ? Got her plugged into the elec outlet outside and the interior lite is on. Got a small elec. heater on the counter top in case it gits cold tonite..
I do a lotta driveway campin when I can't git away...

The first nite sleepin in the Puck went VERY well ! The bed is quit comfortable and it was cozy and warm in thar. Slept in my sleepin bag with my head towards the front of the trailer.
Tonite Imma sleep with blankets and with my head towards the front. The REAL campin comes next week ! Feb 23-25
Gonna head to Woods Valley Campground in Valley Center,ca. Bout 1& 1/2 hrs South of here. Got a small trailer gatherin.
I usually take the teardrop, but this will be the maiden voyage fer the Puck ! Thats why I'm testin it out before I head out to the real thing.

I would love to have a puck,We use the bus to pull the Combi-Camp pop up. Slick thing about the pop up is it only takes a minute to set up and weighs 300 lbs ,and the kids sleep in the pop up, we get the bus. Sad thing is the past two years I think we have only gone camping 3 times and put 150 miles on the bus in 2 years (its been a crazy past 2 years) But hopefully this year will be different.

I've always wanted a Puck and now that I have one...I'll NEVER sell it ! It is THE perfect trailer, especially fer a VW Bug ! The driveway campin helps me figure out HOW everythin works and what I can and cannot do to make the experience fun .
Bein a single guy makes plannin campin trips an easy thang to do. I have at least ONE campin trip EVERY month thru July already.
I have a buncha vintage campin eqpt and will used it all when I camp. I'mhopin that I will be able to go to at least ONE vintage trailer show this year now that I have a vintage trailer.

Have a great time, hope the weather is good for you. I'll be slavin' over a hot and dirty mill, at work. But it will pay for a future VW project. ;D

Took the Puck on her maiden voyage/campin trip ! Drove to San Diego County and camped with 8 other trailers. The weather was PERFECT ! Mid 70s durin the day.. high 30s at nite. Brought my electric heater and darn near COOKED in the trailer ! Slept on top of my sleepin bag !
Threw the easy up inside the Puck along with my table & chair, etc. Then went to the scales and weighed her..800 lbs !
I will be able to lighten up the load once I git it all organized.. prolly git it down to 700 or less.

A friend gave me a "mini" washing machine tubr to use as a fire pit !@ I jus made 3 legs fer it so it will not sit directly on the ground. The legs will be bolted on fer ease of disassembly when transporting. I've already used it once and it works GREAT !

That sounds like a good idea, how 'bout shootin' a pic. It might be something that others would want to make for themselves. Thanks Rick.
