Bren,
I still had plenty of traction with my old 165's last year. I would go with them for weight savings

You may want to try both to see what works for doing the 1/8th in 3rd gear. For the 1/4 mile I'd think the 195/65's gear ratio advantage would have it over the 165/80's weight.

It depens on your 3 & 4th gear ratio & what R&P?,with your Mouse motor I would run a 1:48 1:14 and a 4:37 for the 1/8,and the lightest wheel/tire possable Madmike

Yesterday worked on some of the trim. Painting it all to match the interior Massey Ferguson Gray. I chose the round black type tires . Clark mounted them for me. Ray balanced them for me. Thanks Clark and Ray! Really appreciate it! 145/65R15 fronts are going to drop the front nicely.... On the way home from Ray's today Marie and I stopped by B&G discount in Schoolcraft. Found this gas tank. Appears to be about 3 gallons. $9.99! And, the clerk discounted it to $8.00! Looks like it will fit nicely. It even has it's own little fuel gauge built in.

I don't know. I plan to weigh both eventually. Feels light.

The tank sure looks like the one on our Generac generator.
Had it on and off MANY times. Nicely made, uses a spiffy chrome cap. Seems light too.
Looking good!

Are the triples on the rear for traction?? What about the front, I thought this was a straight liner? Do you really need that much bite> LOL!!!

Bren will need the weight up front with the NEW light gas tank. Looks good. Wheels ad weight... He wants his car as SLOW as the other competitors this race season ;D ;D Thanks Dave T

What a find That tank is just right. Not sure if you're thinking of finishing it off, so the hole is filled. If so, ALRO has aluminum. --------------------------------------------------------------- Rudy, Steve, Dan and all racers... I bought the rest of these discontinued tanks. Let me know if you're interested. Oh, Bren had a slight typo... They sell for $80. I'd paint them in any color you want. Just kidding ;D

Bren, forgot to mention what a great job your doing. I really like the Tach in place of the speedo.
