I tried to call the number on the back of my paper pumpkin it just rang and rang until after 5 rings silence. I will try later today.

Beth will talk to the people at the Chamber of Commerce tomorrow and will find out about: 1)decorating, 2)where and when do we stage, and 3)any general info we should be aware of.


PS. I already decorated my car. I put my GoodVolks static cling in the back window..............

I was just planning on having a few mini pumpkin's sitting on my dash...... Aki has an orange Ghia..... Kenn's idea sounds cool too...

The organizers understand that we don't want to decorate out cars, and that is ok. It is a Halloween parade, however, so they ask that we wear something appropriate like a funky hat or even a full costume or whatever. We will be toward the rear of the parade (saving the best for last, I assume) and will be two cars side by side along the parade route. We need to be there at 2:30 or slightly before.


Update: Seems there were letters sent to some of us by the Zeeland Chamber of Commerce. Anybody get one? What does it say?

Hi John,

That was exactly my concern. I went to the Chamber of Commerce this morning to find out. They plan this event well in advance. In the past the most entries they have had is 118. This year it is 150. She was very apologetic, but said that the 6 cars that are registered are being counted on, but that they could not accommodate any additional cars. She said that the 6 people signed up will get info packets next year also. There would be room for more cars, but not at this late date. I will PM Dustin and Bren, so they can send an e-mail to everyone and hopefully avoid anyone showing up and then being turned away.

I got one of the packets so I guess I am one of them. Can we send substitutes? I would love to let someone go in my place.

I haven't received anything yet, but I still plan on doing the parade, my sister-in-law is to meet me in Zeeland and she, my neice and nephew are riding in Ruffuss with me(depending on my mother-in-laws condition, that is). Come on Bren, lets make this a party. Do we still want to meet at noon or kick it back an hour or so? Do we want to do lunch, if so where?? Later Kenn
