Couple more bodywork updates. Rear hatch sanded. Left rear quarter cut out, dent pulled, ready for new panel fitting.

Yea I made one of those plates out of sheet metal on mine. Bus is looking good. Cant wait to see it in paint. Still going white with dark blue bottom??

I never really liked the light green; just never looked correct to me. Marie really likes cobalt blue; her favorite color. We were able to find the paint code for the original VW cobalt blue. So, we are back to blue.

Choke block off plates are just a stamped pieces that replaces the enrichment device that is not needed on our applications,It helps clearance issues on some fan shrouds too

Now the driver side rear quarter looks like this: This was probably the most intimidating part of the body repair. Very nice to see the new panels fitted.

I like the Tri-mills, and they are MADE IN THE USA!!!!! Good fit and sound GOOD.

I need something big enough for a 2110. And it needs to clear the trailer hitch like the one AJ has. Really limits my options. I am down to a A1 sidewinder or a Vintage Speed stainless job. Neither are cheap but they will fit the engine and hitch.
