Made it home around 10pm, very tired. Unloaded Ally and let the poor girl rest. Then Cassie and I went to bed. It was an awsome weekend. Ill share pics when I can.

Glad to hear you long distance folks made it home. When we got home at 7ish we thought about driving to Lansing or Frankenmuth. Neither sounded like much fun at that point. Long drives for sure. Great weekend, I love the show. Rare opportunity to see that many aircooled VW's in one place.
I just hope the problem stories don't scare people away for next year. I know I plan to go!

Looks GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! I love me some Herbie bugs and hippie buses!
Even better is the bumper sticker on the one bus that reads "the only urine sample you'll get from me is for a taste test"! You know, since I do a lot of drug testing as a probation officer! Too funny!

Michele and I really enjoyed the Funfest. This trip was my ghia's longest drive and I was very happy how my ghia performed,with the exception of a fuel pump failure at Flying J at Benton Harbor. Fortunately this happened in the parking lot.
We had left home in Delton about 7:30am and around 9:00am we got to Benton Harbor, without any problem. Around 11:00, we all were ready to head out, and my Ghia's fuel pump gave up. Thanks to all guys, my problem was quickly fixed. Dan had a spare fuel pump with him, which we installed on the spot.
Michele had good time talking with the ladies and kids, looking at cars, and shopping at the swap meet .
Michele checked the gas mileage after the trip and it was 30.3miles/gal. I was so glad to see good gas mileage.
As you see from Dan's photos above, the event was worth the long drive (7.5 hrs from Effingham to home). We'll try to attend next year's event.
