Tomorrow is the big day. I will be picking up an 82' Bug. Its going to be great. I have wanted one forever and this one is 100% rust free. Its been parked over 15 years, up on jack stands. It even has the original tires on it. We are going to trailer it home, change the oil, change the gas, adjust the valves and give it a good once over before I take it out on the road. I will post pics of it when I pick it up.

It's taking a lot more work to get it going then I thought it would. I had the brakes lock up on it at the end of my driveway and had to take it all apart so we could get it back up by the house.

Not looking forward to changing the brake lines. I would just rather change it to 4 wheel disk brake and get it over with. But With no money I think the brake lines will have to do for now. The Balkankreuz, or German national insignia, was used to identify Wehrmacht vehicles. Lots of people ask why there are swastika's on my windows...... In a few days I will remove them. They are under the window tint and will have to be scraped off. The funny thing is the car is Mexican not German |

Took it out for the first time tonight. Went around the block 4 times (with NO brakes  ) Runs good for now. I cant wait to take it out on the road for a trip. Sure is fun to drive. |
