Brian's '67 Ghia

Hey Volks! Here is a project that I am going to do a bit of bodywork and paint on. The owners name is Brian, from Coloma MI. Some of you may know him. Here are the initial pics.

Looks like alot of fun. Nothing better than RUST removing.... But in the end all will be nice and clean... Good luck and hope to see some progress photos soon.

It is a pretty solid car, pans are very nice! This isn't going to be a concourse resto, but, a nice driver. Rust is always fun!
I have a Miller 180, but, I will be using my father-in-laws' welder, which is also a Miller, not sure which model number.

After a quick wash, and some dis-assembly.



It has a few dings and dents, and a couple of rust areas that need attention. It will be Redfire Pearl which is a Ford color.

At some point, this car was in an accident and someone replaced the LF fender, the finish work was less than perfect. It will be much better when finished.

aught to be a looker. Is the ford color the same idea (brick red) or is it a lighter red?

Is that OG paint on it right now ?? I don't recognize the color.

In this pic it looks like rust at the pan and body, is it and if so how can that be fixed? Thanks Dave( must replaces pan halves soon) T

That's not the pan, but, yes there is a little surface rust just starting, it looks worse in that pic than it really is. Overall, it is a very solid car, the only bad rust was the PS front fender, and the battery tray in the engine compartment, the pans are great!

The car is NOT the original color, but, close. The new color is going to be a close, but, mettalic, it's a color that was common on Explorers, Expeditions, and others.

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted on this one, but, I have made a lot of progress. Here are some pics:
