I probably won't make it Wed. the 18th. Found my #1 exhaust valve is sticking. Got to get that figured out and fixed before I drive it again. (really frustrating thing is I had a day trip to the dunes planned with my Nephew, Niece and two son's. that is not happening now either.  ) |

OK, change of plans.
Thanks to the help of many on here along with George and Greg the car is running again.
I am going to test and tune.

It was a good night at the track. Steve beat a Corvette. I got a little more consistant than in the past. We each got 6 runs and did most of them side by side. We were very close and had a blast! I had a 250lb weight advantage and it showed most of the time. There was a kit car (Bradley, I think) that showed up towards the end of the night and put down some good runs. We didn't get to talk to the owner, however.
Fellow competitors really like the VW's and several went out of their way to come over and talk and encourage us. Those of you that might be considering coming out should just do it. It is a lot of fun!
