Here come the photos. My camera seemed to have some difficulty getting the exposure right. Or, maybe it was the operator. Dave fixed my photos. Look for them below. (Thanks Dave!)
Had a great time today. Museum was great. Food was too. Of course getting together with everyone was the best part. Thanks to MVVC, Toledo, and Not a Clubs for joining us. We need to continue to do more together like this.

I think the problem with the pics Bren is that you typically do not want to use flash in a museum but rather turn the exposure up a little. The flash makes the pictures inside like that darker.

This was sent from a member of Not A VW club:
Hey Not-a-Club! Tom Siligato here! The Henry Ford Museum/Richter's Chalet Dinner was a great time. We had folks from the MVVC, Toledo Club, and, of course, the Good Volks Club (who initiated the event and invited us other clubs to join in). Some of us also represented the Not-a-Club, as well. Missing, though, was Todd S. and family who thought they'd might come to the event. Two hard-core vintage enthusiasts arrived in their old VWs, one an early '70s Beetle, the other an early bay window bus! A few VW water-pumpers rounded out the VWs. The first of us arrived at about 11:45 AM and hung out in front of the Museum. By 12:30 PM, most who were coming to the Museum had arrived and at that point we all queued up for our tickets. There were well in excess of the 15 people to warrant the 10% group discount. A few came later but just about everyone caught up with the varying clusters of people from our VW group who were wandering about within the Museum. In fact, all told, about 35 people showed up for the Museum visit. We spent a good 4 hours there and at 4:30 met in the main entrance hall to regroup for dinner, which the group agreed to pull ahead by an hour to 5:00 PM. Just about everyone (33 people) came along for dinner at Richter's Chalet German Restaurant just outside downtown West Dearborn. We were provided a separate dining room and, for the most part, the folks from the different VW clubs kind of mixed it up, seating-wise, which was nice to see. There was no shortage of lively conversation. Before we ordered dinner, Greg Sanchez from the MVVC handed out little hand-written numbered tickets randomly to the group for the thoughtfully provided "door prizes" he distributed. I think everyone received a little gift (I got a very nice postcard with '50s VW advertising art mounted in a little frame). Thanks, Greg, for that thoughtful gesture! Once the "door prizes" were distributed, each attendee was asked to stand up, introduce themselves and identify their club affiliation and what VWs they own. We enjoyed drinks, very good dinners and dessert, along with attentive service and then a representative from each club gave a brief presentation describing their club, with a little club history, the club focus and structure, and typical club-sponsored events. After these presentations, we had a worthwhile discussion about collaboration and interaction among the clubs with regard to club activities and events. A few potential events were brought up and talked about. There seemed to be a significant level of enthusiasm for this idea, so hopefully we in the various clubs will seize this and make it grow. At about 8:15 or so, after a bit more conversation, we paid our bills, said our farewells, and headed back home. I think everyone had a terrific time. I look forward to many more to come! On behalf of the MVVC, I wish to again thank the Good Volks Club for initiating this fun event and inviting the MVVC, Toledo and Not-a-Club to join them and for everyone who came and made it a great time. Tom
