Currently I am working on a huge plumbing project at work, but, can't stop thinking about my next project, which will be building a guide system for a conveyor belt, it will involve a lot of engineering, fabrication, and welding, oh yeah, and best of all, good ol' tinkering.

Well, it's time to update this one too. As some of you know, I picked up a Berrien Venture frame from Dubfreak1 and decided to build that instead of the Larry's 95". I have traded the Larry's frame and most of the parts to complete it to Jim W. of Jim's Buggy Parts in Nashville, MI. in return I will be getting the parts I need to finish the Venture.
So far, I recieved the coilover conversion plates and have made a bushing to take the load off the bolts. Pics soon. I will be working on mocking everything up over the winter, then, tear it down and paint it, then re-assemble, hopefully before spring.

Well, if I play my cards right, I may be able to get this one done, AND, get a four seater built before the kid is old enough to drive. ;D

Patrick: Are you planning to install a windshield? If so you might want to look into lowering the top bar below the radius. Mine was already powder coated so moving it was not an option.

What color is it going to be? When do the early 60's Ragtop and '65 Notchback get done? Thanks! It will be Red, like, Porsche red, with black accents. When will the rag' and 'Notch happen? After.... ;D Bren, I remember talking to you about the windshield before, and, I have looked at it a few time trying to decide what I want to do. I've been considering welding a small flange around the opening simular to the pinchweld in the window openings on a "normal" car, this will bring the top of the opening down just enough to have the opening end up "flat" and allow the use of a channel style gasket. Another option, weld a piece of 1" dom at the top of the opening and fill in with a slice of sheet metal between the 1" and the original crossbar. I don't like this idea due to the possibilty of blocking forward vision. I'll have to see where my head ends up once I mock up the seat mounts. I'm not sure that I am going to make it street legal, but, even in the dunes, a windshield is a must. So, I will have to address it at some point.
