Thanks! It handles well also! ;D
I couldn't see buying one from Miller. I've got $30 into materials, and about 3 hours of labor. It would have gone faster, but, I don't have a chop saw, or band saw, so, I have to cut everything with a sawzall or jig saw!

SWEET ;D Ya' know if you had a better camera you could take better pics ;D Thanks Dave T I've got a picture for you, but, it wouldn't be appropriate for this site! ;D Got the rear end buttoned up, started on the frame! Tomorrow, bolt the front end on, and continue assembling the frame.

Man, you need a bigger heater in that garage! Want to burrow one?
I was talking to some sand rail guys last night. They talked about boxing in the rear torsion arms or wishbones; what ever you call them. Are you going to do anything to strengthen them? They also mentioned bracing them up to the frame. Then we went and looked at Greg's as he had those braces done. Looked like a good idea to me.

I have a salimander that I run for about 5 minutes to get things up to temp, then the electrics keep it plenty warm! I will be running a 6-rib bus trans, with the upper mounts on the bell housing. I am going to run a tube across, with tabs for the bell housing mounts, and possibly a pair of tubes to the solid rear trans mount. The attached pic is of my friends cracked frame horns, it was fun!!! Attachments:

Looking good
Someday I need to learn how to weld and work with metal. I can just imagine the creations that I would come up with.

X2 on the fabrication skills:)
What are the wheels on the very top with the diamond interlacing pattern called? My sister and her husband have them on their Super Beetle, but are painted to match the car and I can't tell what they are.

My sister and her husband have them on their Super Beetle, but are painted to match the car and I can't tell what they are. I have a little piece of a sticker left on one of the wheels that says, "Trans-am". I've seen a few sets identical to mine, but, there are a few different makes of the same design. Mine are steel rims with aluminum centers, but, I've seen the same style in all aluminum. I'll take steel over wood any day of the week! Check out my intro for more pics of some of my past steel work, thegoodvolks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=intro&action=display&thread=849

I'll pay a little extra to enjoy the comfort of my own welds.
