I can make it there by 10 am but where is the starting addess?

This it? If so I really could use an address for the GPS...

Here are the details for the 2009 Color Tour
I still need to drive the route and check for dirt roads, construction, or other impassable objects.
Start at Meijers in Three Rivers at 10:00am and leave around 10:30am ish (I am allowing time for chit chat) I planned this spot because of the large parking lot and location near main roads.

If anyone needs directions just ask but it should be easy to find.
The route heads east and north through ponds, country side, and most important trees. The route is 30 miles ish and should take about 1 hour (I need to verify). I have planned for a rest stop at Fred Russ Forest Park. It should be a great place to stretch the legs use the facilities and may be a great photo opt (hint hint hint) If we stay for about a hour it will be fine
After the stop at the park we head out. I have planed a route again this time about 20 miles it should take just under a hour this time ( I need to verify). We should end up at Zeke's Restaurant in Dowagiac like we did last year. It was a great place with good food and room to hold all of us. I have talked with the manager there and I have booked the room for 40 ish people at 2:00pm I can change it if need be.
If anyone needs more info or suggestions let me know.

ATTN.: BATTLE CREEK AREA MEMBERS!!!
Pam and I were talking on the way home the other night: We really have no desire to drive I-94/US-131 to Three Rivers next w/e (I-94's crazy enough even in the Buick!) so we are thinking about taking the back roads trough Climax down to M-60 and then west to Three Rivers (as I recall, it intersects with 131 right near where we wanna be anyway). I've gone that way several times - a patched pothole here and there, but paved all the way. M-66 to M-60 might be an alternate route if you;re not feeling that adventurous.
Anybody from the Battle Creek area who'd like to caravan with us is welcome. Maybe we could rendezvous at Helmer/Columbia Meijer (top off the tanks) and proceed from there.
If you think you'd like to join us, e-mail me off-list at awc0204@hotmail.com and we can firm up plans and then post them here. Might be a nice 'extension' of the color tour for those of us from BC. We'd probably leave about 8:30 - that would allow an hour for the drive and a 30 minute cushion. Open to suggestions on this however.

what heater, I removed mine Ill be taking the long jons Just in case. No Im not taking the propain heater. Never did get to making the proper base for it yet, it is nice for warming the car up though. |
