I appreciate the discussion of a different date, but the 10th looks like the Best date.
I will just have to take Lisa on a Special Color tour ;D
She is really bummed she will miss this though, last years color tour is what got her hooked on the Goodvolks.

This event was started by the Michiana club. Two years ago they did one by themselves. Last year they invited us to join them and made it convenient for both clubs to participate. At the end of the 2008 color tour Ron Wenger suggested we trade off years for coordination. So, 2009 is ours to coordinate for both clubs. We need to make this convenient for both clubs. I personally liked the format of meeting in a large convenient place, stop once at a park for a potty break and time to mingle with everyone and end at a restaurant. I would suggest hitting the restaurant in the middle of the cruise. It was like 2:00 before we had lunch last time. I was so famished that I could hardly help Glen fix my clutch cable in the parking lot.

I have been left alone this evening and I have come up with about half of the tour. For a starting point I wanted a large parking lot with access from main roads that would be easy to find for everyone. I chose Meijer parking lot in Three Rivers. It is located easy from 131 and M60. Now I am looking for an ending point that too has to be easy to leave from and have a restaurant that can support a large group. I have a few towns on my list and need to talk to some locals that know of a good restaurant. More details will come but I want to drive it first to see how it will work. I would suggest hitting the restaurant in the middle of the cruise. It was like 2:00 before we had lunch last time. I was so famished that I could hardly help Glen fix my clutch cable in the parking lot. I too have thought of this but the problem happens after sitting down and relaxing from a large good meal. Do you really want to climb back in the VW and head out for trip 2. I remember after the last color tour I had a blast but did not feel like doing more. What is everyone else's thoughts?

Food needs to be at the end of the tour for the reason posted as well as its a way to say goodbye to everyone. Eating halfway would lose half the people I'm sure.

As for the finishing place / Restaurant this is what I found so far.
Constantine - No Restaurants that have a room large enough for our group
We can finish at the same restaurant as last year Zeke's Restaurant in Dowagiac
Or we can head back to Three Rivers and try Brewster's I was told that the have a group room but I need to verify.
Other cities on my list for stopping places include Jones, Cassopolis and Marcellus. If anyone knows of a restaurant that has a group room ant these locations let me know or we can stop at either one above.
This weekend I will drive the route and see if its up to par if not I will try an other route.

It seems that the 10th works I thought it was already determined.
The 10th it is...
Now what about the start time last year we arrived at the starting point at 10:00 am and left at around 10:30am it seemed to work last year.

Sounds good to me. Does it allow those further away enough time to get here? Dan?
