AJ , Vary nice power plant . Did you replace all your fuel lines ? And I was wondering why replace motor before welding was done ? I have not installed fuel lines yet but this fall I will be installing Advance Auto 1/4" cheep fuel line. This winter I will be running the braided German stuff like I run in the Ghia. I asked Steven about that too he said that it will be ok and plus I am strapped for time.

Bus Update Whats left is to finish the install of the corner, bleed the brakes, wire the brake light switches, run the accelerator cable, and install engine and trans. I am all most there. All of the welding for the battery tray and behind the RR wheel well is finished (Thanks Steven). The new corner is trimmed and test fitted ready for welding. The brakes are bled and the switches are wired up. New Accelerator cable is installed. I broke down and purchased new braided fuel line. Engine and transmission is in. Now all that is left is to finish up the corner, install tail lights, rear engine skirt, battery, voltage reg., air filter system, and Torque up the wheels and large axle nuts. Then the test drive I can't wait.

AJ, It looks good! It is running with your shoes. Yep my shoes are on. There is tons more room in the Bus way more than the Ghia I actually fit. AJ , the side shot with you and a big smile and almost all of your face showing , do you have more head room than in mine ? Because if I had a same photo you could only see my chin . I think that is because of the seats I have the early style low backs. Also my seats are 40 years old with original covers and padding. Yes the bus is drivable it still has tons of bugs that need worked out but man is it fun to drive. The only bad part is that Wifey is not happy with the Bus. Wifey says that I have been spending to much time with it and not enough time with her. I think wifey is a bit jealous.

Wifey and Bus have resolved their differences. Don't tell anyone but Wifey likes riding in the Bus but she will never admit it. Remember I never typed that and you never read it.
Well Sunday I have found a very useful piece of the Bus that I installed. I found this gismo attached to my parts Bus it never really worked before and when did it was huge pain. I believe its called a "Sliding Door Latch and Handle" Its this magical device that when activated opens this huge door on the passenger side of the Bus. I find that this "Door" is very useful when loading and unloading people or cargo.
Before this magical device was working. The parts Bus door would fall off the track and was a pain to close. On the Black Bus I had two rods inside of the door. Only one may or may not open the door.
Now its super convenient just push the handle down and pop door opens and glides back effortlessly. To close the door just slide it back till it clicks. Then pull handle up to fully latch door.
Its to cool
Sorry for my rambling but if you know me you will understand.
Now back to your regular schedule of Bus restoration.

I asked the Good Old Boy about your request for B5 & B6 & 113 , he will check but if not he said adaptors are available for the rear mount .

Thanks Glen I know about the adaptors and that is an option. I currently own (3) B6 engines but (0) B5 engines. Someday it would be nice to have a stock 1970 B5 engine for the bus.
