I drove about 500 miles last weekend all in the 1970 Bus
Kalamazoo MI to Fort Wayne and back again on Saturday. Then on Sunday Kalamazoo MI to Joliet IL and back again.
Not a single problem except for a tired driver and a "Hot" non-working starter at a pitstop. The starter is working fine this morning it just got hot.

Took Ally to dream cruise and to back to the bricks in flint. also drove to work today.

Drove the blue Convertible over to Kalamazoo (M-96 over; I-94 back). Went to Libin's clothing sale (I am now wearing 34 Pants!!! - 44 when my wife left 6 months ago tmw). Met a friend for lunch.
After I got off I-94 (exit 92) I noticed a Chevy following me all the way in. He pulled up beside me at the light at Helmer and complimented me on the car. Didn't know him from Adam. Then he said "where's the Yellow one?"
I guess my reputation is firmly established in this little backwater town.

No place today - might go out and swap headers. Put new header on 'vert and 'verts old header on coupe. BUT TUESDAY..... ahhhhh, Tuesday is supposed to be GREAT convertible weather!!! 80's and mostly sunny. Can hardly wait.

Ya , Went out Hunting last night with my Green Tin Can (Westley) had a Doe tag . One Shot , One Kill , 2nd Deer in my Bus . I use my Bus for just about EVERYTHING .

Took the blue 'vert to band rehearsal tonight at KCC. MAN! What a beautiful evening. Great ride home. Parked, raised the top, locked her up and put on the cover. Then the rain started. Hope it's not the last ride of the summer. Would really like to take it on the colour tour if it's warm enough.

Took the Pig of Plastic to Uncle John's Cider Mill today with the top down to see how the new headlights work. (Fine, and nothing fell off...)
Stopped by the cider mill to talk with them about the color tour, and have a hot cider and donut...the hot cider was welcome. Brisk outside. Talked a little bit about the color tour, will talk again tomorrow.
All in all, fun afternoon, and the car ran great!

Took the yellow coupe to the library today. I still have a short or something in the t/s switch circuit in the steering column; I pulled the two small wiring harnesses at the back of the steering wheel and took it to the library today. Fuses are still good. Will hook em back up one at a time to help isolate the problem and then pull the steering wheel again if necessary. Taking it to band rehearsal at KCC tonight. Runs nice even though it's basically been sitting all summer, playing 2nd fiddle to the blue 'vert.

Took the Pig of Plastic to Linden, MI early this morning. No highway driving at all...just fast, smooth two lane roads. It was brisk early, so the top was up on the way down, but I was topless on the way back.
Great time to own a convertible in Michigan. Supposed to be 75 Friday afternoon...have to find somewhere for Dorothy and I to go away from home for diner...

Went up North of town to Clear Lake State Park w/the 917,Met a Nice older Cpl,I think You'all know'em Kenn&Karen AKA Ruffuss ;D ;D,We had a nice visit,They said they could hear me comming for miles.....(strange) ;D ;D ;DThey may stop over tonight for a bonfire here ;D Madmike
