Today the body was installed onto the pan for the last time! Lots was done this week to get to this point. I will update those details later. Here is a shot of the crew that helped set it down. Having a big crew sure made it painless. I really appreciate all the people that have helped me along the way. This club is great! Here it is:

Me too. All together but still lots to do. I wish you would have been in the above photo. Hardly seems right you were not there for this stage after all you did.

Last night I fought with the steering box. It did not want to line up with the steering column. I finally got it: Once I got that done I put the rubber and chrome trim on the windshield. What a pain in the.... Got the rubber on then tried to install the chrome. Rubber kept coming off the glass. I don't remember having this much trouble before. Finally got that to stay. Finished up way too late last night. Tonight Marie, Ian, and I got the windshield installed in the car. I don't know what this tool is really meant for but I use it all the time with rubber trim. The hook and the rounded end comes in handy tons of times. I don't know why or where I got it but I sure am glad I did. Came in handy with finishing installing the windshild rubber as the string pulled out and I had 6 more inches of the lip to pull out. Marie painted the gas tank for me today with zero rust so I could install it: I welded some minor splits in the fenders. Then with Marie's help I wire wheeled the underside of all 4 fenders. Tomorrow she will paint them for me. I got half the body to pan bolts installed tonight. Not a fun job! The front two larger ones are really fighting me but I will win. Just not tonight. Too tired to continue the fight. More tomorrow.

Bren, the tool your using is made for the removal of koter pins, we use them at work for just about everything from removing seals to installing rubber boots. If its a craftsman they will replace it no matter what abuse you give it. I broke 4 of them yesterday trying to remove a lower engine/ crank seal from a Brigs/Stratton I finally won with the seal in about 10 pieces. Later Kenn

I have never used it for a kotter pin. Sure works great for seals etc. Thanks for the info. Kenn. Thanks for the compliment Dustin! Tonight John W. came over to help. We installed the back 3 windows. Got the rubber and chrome in on one side window then I realized I used the wrong glass as the film was on the oustide. We took it all off and did it right. That went right into the car just fine. Second side window was a breeze. Back glass was not fun. First I tried to put the rubber seal on the glass wrong. Then it went much easier once we put it on right; my bad! With the curve to the back glass the rubber seal and chrome fought us lots but we won. Put it in the car and it was off center. So, we took it out. It is not easy to remove a newly installed window. Decided one person was not enough to hold the back glass in position so I recruited my son. Went in much easier with the three of us. Thanks again for the help John. Marie painted the inside of the fenders for me today while I was at work. Thanks Marie! They will go on the car tomorrow!

I think the photo is making it look darker than it really is. I was afraid it would look too dark. Marie, John and I feel it is a good tint color for the car. I can't wait to see it with the fenders on either. I painted the cover for the fuel gauge sending unit with Krylon Cherry Red. I really like that color red. I think I am going to paint the wheels that color. I like the idea of a quick paint job for the wheels, not a fancy one.

The wheels will look really good in that red, Then you just need to look through swap meets for accessories.
