Will it be at George's tommorrow under its own power? I have your licence plate bracket here and it is powdercoated black. I will bring it tommorrow.

I would like to drive it but I did not get it registered/plated etc. So, I am thinking towing is safer. I just hope the tow bar fits it. If not I might go get George's trailer. We will see.

Thanks to lots of unexpected help this weekend I was actually able to drive the car today! (up the driveway and into the garage using the e-brake, but I drove it! ) Saturday I got the pan to body bolts all in. Then Kenn came over and helped me get all of the fenders installed. What a huge transformation that was! Fender project went quickly due to Kenn's expert tapping of the weld nuts with a cordless drill. Kenn also installed the door latch plates and the rear tail lights. Also helped me get everything in the engine bay finished off; throttle cable, rear tin, fuel line, wires, etc. It was a very productive morning! After Kenn left to go watch some soccer I installed the rear bumper. Then I towed it to George's with John's tow bar. Had to make some temporary modifications to the tow bar due to the 4" beam. At Georges many people tinkered with the car to get the idle right. It sounds great! John then took the lead with getting lights etc. working. Along with the help of many others he got the idiot lights working and the turn signals. Today I got the front end aligned at Firestone. Then I put in the front seats after some adjusting of the seat rails on the new pans. Installed the antenna and the rear deck lid script. Then John came over and helped me with bleeding the brakes. I am really looking forward to actually taking this out on the road. Tomorrow while I am at work Marie is going to go pay the Government so I can drive it legally! Pictures will follow soon. Thanks again to everyone that helped me this weekend! I really appreciate it. This club is great. It is so much nicer to be doing a car with the club than it was to do a car all by myself.

How's this? I need to post an update. Been too busy trying to help my son with his truck and get this driveable. If I can get the lights working tomorrow I will be driving it to work Friday!

Thanks. I like the look. Once all the red interior is in I think it will be a good combination.
Worked on the lights tonight. Lots of funky previous owner wiring. Got everything working except for the dash turn signal indicator light, and emergency flashers. Did not get to the interior light or the license plate light. Wiper motor power wire was not connected. I connected it and the wipers worked but then they would not turn off. Probably the switch is bad? Lots of little stuff left like getting the heat hooked up inside. However, I believe it is ready for a test drive as soon as I get a seat belt in it.

No. Drove my son's truck instead. Trying to figure out what if anything is wrong with it. He has had trouble with it not wanting to start. Of course for me it always starts. Classic situation. Works perfect for the dealer....

You know what would look really cool is when you get your dropped spindles put those white wall inserts that Jerry had for sale on it.

That would look cool but the inserts I have would be too tall for the front. Bren, what size tires are you running?

Got the running boards from bill (taylormutts) today via my sister. They will be perfect for this car! Hope to get them installed tomorrow. John had an extra wiper motor and switch so I hope to get those installed tomorrow and have working wipers too. Install some temporary seat belts and it will be ready for the test drive!
