No I will be driving the my truck. I would rather not rush the Ghia and do it right. I am hoping to have the Ghia on the road late Sunday.

Ghia update
Finally everything is installed all the tin and all the engine parts. The timing is static set and the valves adjusted. I even tried to start it but no Vroom. I am not getting fuel and I think my tank is dry. Now my battery is flat but the good news is that the radio works. I have Friday evening and Saturday to finish stuff up.
I really want to make the Holland Show.

Ok the Ghia runs barely Here's the story I pulled the fuel sending unit from the tank yep no fuel I solved that problem with a trip to the gas station Crank Crank Crank no vroom still no fuel Checked the fuel pump it has suction but no out flow New fuel pump now I have fuel to the carb Crank Crank Crank Pop Pop Pop Crank Crank Vroom Vroom All hell broke loose I am getting nasty rattles scrapping and banging I crawled under the engine and found a loose piece of tin that solved the rattling I removed the fan belt now the generator is not spinning that solved the scrapping Ok my fan is scraping on the fan shroud now time for removal After every thing is installed again with the test fire It running and running good I have oil pressure the generator is charging everything is working Just bang bang bang bang as fast as a lifter noise but much much louder and sharper
Now what? I am done and totally frustrated I have one day and one day only to solve the banging Any ideas"

I have been going over this problem in my head all evening. Tomorrow I am going to look over my whole valve system. Check my valve adjustment and run the engine without the valve covers to listen for noise. I just hope the noise is not inturnal.

I have found the noise
First thing I checked this morning was the valve adjustment A bunch of valves were bit loose but nothing major After that I started the car without the valve covers still same noise. After listening to the engine run the noise seem to be coming from around the crank pulley After removing the pulley I found that it was hitting the piece of tin behind the pulley The Ghia is running great now and in a few minutes I will be going on my first voyage this year

I went on a drive today the Ghia ran OK. It seems that the timing is a touch off. I have also noticed that it's not as peppy as before. The only thing I changed was the dizzy. I will adjust the timing a bit to see if that helps but if it does not help. I may remove the stock 205T dizzy and run the 009. I kind of like the pep of the 009.

All better now I keep forgetting that I am not runnung the 009. I timed it last time at my usual mark that I have done for years with the 009. With the stocker my timing mark is 0, go fig. Ghia is running much better now I even spun the tires on the wet pavement. I also packed the car ready for Saturday with tools, belt, hoses, and extra parts. I adjusted the headlights fixed my loose mirror and cleaned the Ghia out.
Thanks Dustin for the complement it took tons of time but its clean. Just wait until you see the clean engine in my Rusty Bus.
