Glad you found that out in your garage and not on the side of the road. Hope everything runs tight for you now... Yea, me too. Been there done that. Don't want to do it again. That is why I am thinking of trailering to Larry's next weekend. Motor is done and in the car! (Thanks for the help with the install John!) ;D And it runs! ;D What a relief! Sounds better live and in person, I promise!

Ya sure you want to go the trailering route? I know its a major bummer when something breaks but the travel / repairs / even failure is part of the adventure.. I always feel that butt clinch at the start of a long jurney... will she make it? heh heh heh thats part of the fun !!!!

Nothing to do with trailering. Might trailer it to the track. Might just drive it too. Have not decided.

Hey that's a good idea. With a little ingenuity; we could make a traction bar/trailer hitch combo so you can pull a very small aluminum trailer, carrying your track tires What do you think? -Ray

Bren - I think Dansam's mention of trailering was from your post at the top of this page regarding trailoring to Larry's Show last year.

Bren, I totally loved reeding this post. All of your pics are cool to look at. I'm working on my 63 and this type of post helps me get back in gear and go out to the garage to work on it. So today I was reviewing your post and said "man I gotta go out and plug some time in" so I got my rear valence off as I'm making it removable for easy access. Thanks for inspiring me. I also have to say I love how your car is not a cant drive it show car. Its great to see it put back together and used......
Regards, Micro

Thanks for the compliments guys. This car is a blast. I love just driving it. Had a 'show' car and this is much more fun. I love the patina look. I have been watching your threads along with Troy's. Looking forward to seeing your cars this summer. What is with all the '63's?

GREAT THREAD!!!!!! I read this over a couple days with my morning coffee. Good job bringing this VW back to life. Hopefully will give others some hope and motivation to tackle a project themselves.
