Spotted these two gem's at LKQ

So while I was out today putting in applications I stopped by an old place of employment to talk with a couple friends. I was told there was a 72 Beetle that runs and drives and would be for sale at the junkyard. Price around $1000. I decided it was worth investigating so I drove over there and also spotted a 65 Beetle across from it. the 72 has a gas tank on the back that it runs off of because it needs a new fuel line. The heater channels are getting rusty and so are the lower rear quarters. It also has an early gas tank in it. The 65 is really rusty. Has some "cool" pin striping, custom steering wheel, shift knob, and sweet shag carpeting. When I inquired inside about the Beetles I was told the 65 would be like $900 and the other around the same. This was because they got the Beetles along with a bunch of newer cars and the guy made them take the Beetles and pay him the same amount as they did for the new cars.
