I think it ended up being $32 for my mom and dad to get in and the car to be in the show. Not 100% on that though. I think we should have an exhibition area for cars who don't want to be judged but want in the show. It would make a better turnout I think.
So who else is excited?!?! It's so close to show time!

I think you are right Dustin. $32 to show the car and bring one passenger. The $20 for the show car includes one person's admission.
I am excited, now that the volunteers are all in place. That was a little concerning. I was surprised at the low response. I hope next time around we have to turn people away instead of beg for more help. Thank you to those that are volunteering!
Remember, we also agreed to volunteer as a club to help as needed with any small stuff throughout the day. Wear your club shirts if you have them. A couple places we might be able to help is in handing out car show trophies and in tearing down the car show tent and putting away the signs.
Got to clean the car tomorrow then I am ready to go. Definately looking forward to the meet and greet Saturday night. See you all this weekend!

Poor planning on my part for my best friends bachelor party landed me out of time and money to get to the event. All of which I could have lined up, except I didnt really know for sure about time or money until I woke up today ...Oh well thanks guys for keeping the vw show alive.

I can't speak for every one but I enjoyed myself. I think dad ( Ruffuss) Bren, AJ, and Dustin had fun doing the fun runs . Congrats to Kevin, Dad (Ruffuss) and A.J. for their awards. I will post pics when I get a chance.

I had a blast, and I did not break anything! I was really surprised to reach the 1/8 mile mark before Kenn did. Somehow I think that may change at the test and tune!

Either my Ghia looks small or I am huge. I just did not realize until now. No wonder why everyone asks how do I fit.
Well I was talked into racing Dustin and we got some whopping times. Dustin did a 23.6148 at 58.07 mph and I did a 21.5241 at 60.64 on the 1/4 mile. The sad part was that both of us had a 0.83 reaction time.
Great Pictures AJ

All, My wife Michele and I enjoyed the event and volunteer work. We had our 35th wedding anniversary, our relatives daughter's farewell party, departing for Iraq and our Church picnic on same weekend. But we managed and enjoyed all of the activities.
I'll retire from Pfizer this Oct. I MAY have some extra time to get involved in other activities.
I believe that the Bug Run went very well. I hope I can bring my bus next summer. We may camp out with my Ghia and bus at the site.
Thanks. Michele and Aki
