so the other day my bud calls me up and he sayd "hey man i saw a old junk bug its $120" so he told me where it was (it was 45 min away) so i go and drive out there and i found it =) i get out of the explorer and i walk up to it and its a little rusty but its worth way more then 120$ so i brush the snow off the front window and the sign in the window says 1,20 so i walk to the other side and i notice the other 0 it was 1,200 so i drove home really disipointed

I have had that happen to me before. I was told about an "50's" Bug that a guy wanted $50 for. I went out to look at it and it was a 56 Ragtop in terrible shape but $50! I'll take it! I called the owner and he said he wanted $1500 because he had a bunch of parts for it. Needless to say I did not buy it.

Or whats real nice is when someone tells you to make an offer(any offer) and you insulted them because you left out a zero.  |

...or when you see $1200 and think the seller is crazy, your friend calls later and tells you he picked up the running, but rusty Bug that you saw for sale earlier. You ask him what kind of deal he got and he says, "gave 'em full price! $120!" WHAT THE @#!? I thought it was $1200!!!

i might just go offer the guy 120 and see what happens maybe ill get lucky and i will have a bug and i will be able to get rid of my explorer =)

You never know,I have seen crazier things.
I did offer a guy once $250 for his bug that he wanted $850 for and he took it. I really didn't want it at the time and he said offer me anything so I was stuck after I threw out a number.

It was pretty rough when I bought it and I did a fair amount of work on it. Did drive it home and took a month redoing it, the only plus side of the deal I thought at the time was the rebuilt motor with 4000 miles on it. |
