Here is another opportunity to join the MVVC.
Day before the GoodVolks Spring show and swap, might be hard to do both....
VEHICLES NEEDED FOR APRIL MVVC TECH SESSION!
SATURDAY, APRIL 25 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM
415 N. Baldwin Rd., Oxford, MI
MVVC Members John Bickel, of State of Mind Customs, and Bob Ellis have graciously offered to hold another Tech Session for MVVC members. This is following their well-received and highly successful Tech Session held last April, which brought out a large number of members and their vehicles and gave them hands-on opportunity to sort out maintenance and minor repair issues, help fellow members in doing so, learn techniques for performing these tasks, and enjoy VW-centered fellowship.
In order to make the Session as productive as possible, a limited number of cars will be accepted for participation in this event, though as many as practical will be accommodated. A screening process will now begin to determine which cars will be accepted for the Session and what parts will be needed to service their needs. Screening of potential candidates will be done by Bob Ellis.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUR VW INCLUDED IN THE SESSION, PLEASE CONTACT BOB AT kdfresto@yahoo.com or (248) 421-8409 NO LATER THAN MARCH 31.
PLEASE NOTE: e-MAIL IS THE PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD.
Minor mechanical parts such as tune-up parts and hoses will be supplied by Air Head Parts, however more costly parts required for the jobs must be provided by the vehicle owner. It is necessary to determine these parts needs well in advance of the Tech Session.
Two technicians from the State of Mind Customs shop will be available during the Session to provide assistance. Windshield and seat cover replacement are possible tasks for this Tech Session. Please indicate to Bob Ellis your need for this service when contacting him to volunteer your vehicle. Note: If members want windshield replacement to be insurance claims, John Bickel will forward the info to the glass installer, Service Glass, a large glass company in Pontiac. Otherwise it will be customer pay. Please contact John about this at jlhbickel@charter.net
***Don't forget the MVVC "Polishing, Waxing, and Detailing Seminar" presented by MVVC member Matt Lifter at his shop, MotorCity AutoSpa, on Sunday March 29th. Go to www.mvvc.net for details***
